Confirmation Connection

In January of this year we had out Confirmation Connection Weekend Retreat for churches of the North Texas Conference. We had 15 participating churches with a total of 151 Campers and Volunteers.

For those who don't know, Confirmation Connection is a retreat style confirmation program of the North Texas Conference that partners with local UMC Churches to provide a connectional confirmation experience. The Curriculum for the weekend is developed from various United Methodist approved Curriculums and will fit well with what UMC Churches are already doing with their Confirmation classes.

We are looking forward to providing this camp again in 2019. In the meantime check out pictures from this years camp!

Wesley Life Map

At North Texas Annual Conference 2017 we unveiled our Wesley Life Map Project. The Wesley Life Map is designed to guide the faith formation of our Camping and Retreat Ministry programs and curriculum with the goal of making sure that we are offering developmentally and age appropriate ministries.

The life map focuses on the intellectual, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of a person and spans from infancy to older adults. This work relies heavily on the work of Discipleship Ministries, Theologian James Fowler, and the works of John Wesley. Over the next year we will begin using the Wesley Life Map to make sure that our Camp and Retreat Centers are creating the best possible environments to develop disciples.
