North Texas Conference Camps

The North Texas Conference offers many different Camping and Retreat style experiences. Our camping, retreat and conference facilities at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center, Prothro Center as well as our Go Camps, offer a fun, safe, and affordable experience that is catered to the needs of the groups they serve while being surrounded beauty and nature of the outdoors. 


We offer programs and curriculum to develop groups in leadership and in the Wesleyan Heritage as well as offering other resources customized to your desired camping and retreat experience.

Confirmation Connection: 

January 13-15, 2017

Confirmation Connection is a new retreat style confirmation program in the North Texas Conference that partners with local UMC Churches to provide a connectional confirmation experience. The Curriculum for the weekend is developed from the Credo Curriculum and will fit well with what UMC Churches are already doing with their Confirmation classes.

    Our Weekend Curriculum includes worship, meditation and 4 Small Group Sessions that focus on Discipleship, The Wesleyan Quadrilateral, Living a Holy Life, and Grace. The curriculum is rooted with Wesleyan Theology and should fit well with other confirmation curriculums. 


    After registering you will be invited to join in a conversation about these topics, what will be discussed, and next steps after the Confirmation Camp to keep the discussion going. 

Bridgeport Camp & Conference Center (BCCC) strives to provide opportunities for children, youth, and adults to experience loving Christian community and to be shaped by God’s grace, all to the glory of God. Since 1949, BCCC has offered summer camps and retreat facilities to thousands each year.

The Prothro Center at Lake Texoma is a ministry of hospitality owned and operated by the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. The retreat center serves groups of all kinds, from family reunions and youth groups to large businesses and school conferences.

GO Camp is a system of camping, both summer and year-round, that compliments the current camping and retreat ministry offerings of the North Texas Conference, that reaches underserved communities and provides new opportunities to develop young leaders.


We work with children, youth, and young adult groups all over North Texas to provide meaningful camping experiences right in their communities
